12 Things That Just Don't Matter When You Really Like Someone
YOU
We've all seen 10 Things I Hate About You. When Julia Stiles is standing up reading her poem to the beautiful Heath Ledger, reciting all the things she hates about him...
Alright, so it's a rom-com and life (unfortunately) isn't actually like a movie, and (unfortunately) people have really bad habits that can end up really irritating you. But sometimes you meet someone that makes you feel like you've finally found your match. That in the end, these habits don't matter because you'd rather put up with their flaws than be without them.
1. The timing of the relationship. Relationships often don't take off or they end abruptly because timing can get in the way. But when you find someone that means a lot to you, and is worth investing your time in, it doesn't matter if there are a million things happening in your life.
3. Their age. Lots of great romances have happened between two people who aren't the same age... when you meet the right person this crappy societal norm won't stop you from living your life with the person you love.

But really she doesn't hate him at all. She doesn't really hate any of that stuff. She loves all his quirks because of how he makes her feel... *cries*

2. How you met. Not everyone has a romantic story like Ted Moseby! Forget all preconceptions of having an incredibly romantic 'how we met story', you're with them now and that's all that matters.
3. Their age. Lots of great romances have happened between two people who aren't the same age... when you meet the right person this crappy societal norm won't stop you from living your life with the person you love.
4. The distance between you both. Distance between two people can be a pivotal point in any relationship. If you love them enough, don't let it get between the two of you. It will all be worth it in the end.
5. Your insecurities. We all have things about ourselves that we don't like. It could be our thighs, our hair, or our nose. These things won't matter when you find someone who loves you for being you.
6. How different you are on paper. They say opposites attract for a reason. Relationships should be fun and adventurous, and when you really like someone, you should welcome the differences between the two of you. You might learn something new.
7. Worrying about the future. The future can seem a daunting and scary place...find someone who makes you feel like everything will be OK. Planning ahead will feel much more calmer when the right person is by your side.
8. How many people there were before you. Who gives a crap how many people he's been with?! When you really like someone, this no longer matters. He's with you now, and that's all that matters.
9. What they look like. Of course everyone's dream is to end up with Tom Hardy (I mean look at him, he's a living god!)...but once again, life isn't like the movies. However, when you find someone that gives you butterflies, you'd marry the Hulk if they made your heart this happy.
10. How much money they make. They don't need to be raking in lots of money to take good care of you. You find that it means much more to be with someone who loves you, rather than someone who splashes the cash just to impress.
11. How much you like their family/ how much their family like you. If Aria's parents can get over her dating a teacher, I'm sure your in-laws can be happy that the two of you are together.
12. Anyone else's opinion. The most important things are that you make each other happy, and have fun when you're together, case closed. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
